I'm a Presbyterian Church (USA) Pastor, married with two adult children.
Currently, I am the Director of New Church Development for the Presbytery of the Cascades. I am working out of the Portland offices. In 1988 I was the organizing pastor of Trabuco Presbyterian Church, where I served until November 11th 2007. My growing up years were in Newport Beach and I'm a graduate of Newport Harbor High School. College and beyond took me to Cal State University at Fullerton, Fuller Theological Seminary, and a doctoral degree in New Church Development from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. I'm engaged in questions of culture and faith and how we become a missional people of God. Love to play the guitar and am something of a fan of instruments. I own a 1971 Martin D-28, a fairly new Baby Collings, and about a ten year old custom Sands. Right now I get to play a great Goodall GC - E. Indian back and sides, Adirondack top. It is fitted with a K&K pickup. Love to have conversations of faith, culture, life. A postmodern time lends itself to a wider ranging conversation. The site is called tabletalk after Luther's famed conversations around the dinner (and drinking) table. The masthead is from Luther's living area in Wittenberg. The opinions here are truly my own. They don't represent our denomination. The purpose is to have a bit more conversation outside the box.
